Golf Mobility: Thoracic Rotation

Thoracic Rotation:
Limited thoracic mobility is one of the most common problems in recreational golfers. Inability to properly rotate through the thoracic spine will limit your ability to do a full shoulder turn and can lead to many golf swing faults including:
🏌️‍♂️Loss of Posture
🏌️‍♂️Flat Shoulder Plane
🏌️‍♂️Reverse Spine Angle
🏌️‍♂️Early Extension
Limited thoracic mobility can also lead to compensations contributing to low back pain and shoulder injuries.

Exercises:

⛳️Sidelying Thoracic Rotation
⛳️Quadruped Rain Birds
⛳️Stick Mobility Thoracic Rotation with ValSlide

🔑be sure to flex at the hips (knees towards chest) with all of these exercises to limit contribution from the lumbar spine

Stay tuned for exercises to improve your thoracic extension!
